The lighthouse was built in 1866 and since then has played an important navigational role for ships sailing in the Baltic Sea.
It has an impressive height of around 48 metres. It is one of the taller lighthouses on the Polish coast. It is located on a cliff, close to the seashore - a picturesque tourist attraction.
